The ACR890 is a new generation PIN-pad reader from ACS. It incorporates a contact, contactless, and magnetic card reader to help older technology systems (e.g. magnetic stripe‒based) to transition to smart cards. ACR890 is built to handle complex applications with its fast processing speed and large memory. This terminal is also designed for mobile environments, enabling wireless connectivity through Wi-Fi, GPRS, and 3G communications.
Among the practical features of the ACR890 is its ability to print anywhere via its built-in thermal printer. In addition to its large internal memory, ACR890 also allows for memory expansion through a micro SD card slot, to enable higher memory allocation for application and transaction data. With its 240×320 3.5” color LCD display, the ACR890 shows images in remarkable detail and allows the user to easily navigate the display on its touchscreen LCD. The terminal also features a built-in speaker for additional audio experience.
